Weekly Learning Reflection T3 W4
Hey everyone, my weekly learning reflection,
We have started to do Measurement for Math. We needed to complete three tasks, two about millimetres, metres and kilometres. Our third task was millilitres, litres and kilolitres. A few questions were saying what their 'short' version or abbreviation was like millilitres=ml, kilometres=km.
We have been working hard on our speeches so that they are ready so we can find out who is in the final next week. My speech is about Bullying, saying why bullies bully and the types of bullying and possible ways to overcome it.
We had Kidsedchatnz on Wednesday and I completed my reflection. P.S. I am going to share my weekly reflection with all of you guys reading my blog.

Weekly Learning Reflection
Hi everyone, this is term three, week three's learning reflection. And on with reflecting,
This week we started to write our goals and go through our E-Asttle results. I now know what the levels are and mean because I thought that 'A' is achieved but it is actually 'Advanced'.
For Kidsedchatnz we had the topic the flag debate and I thought it was well chosen chat because of the flag debate currently happening. But 26 million dollars is a lot of money to change the flag when it can be better spent like feeding children that don't take lunch to school or as they are currently doing improving the transport.
On Thursday we went to tech and we are making pewter jewellery. Before we make the jewellery we have to create a mould and the design for the mould has to be Kiwiana, Maori or Pacifica.

Matariki
On Wednesday 1st July we had Matariki as a whole school.
The Hangi
For the Hangi people were there early in the morning to help dig the hole and start the fire. At 1:30 pm and they cut it up to eat.
There was Chicken, Lamb, Pumpkin and Kumara. There was lots of leftovers to take home. I helpe by escorting children to the eating area and packing it up after by putting tables away and cleaning out the buckets which I never got around too.
The Activities
We had lots of activities to do but Rooms 1 and 3 stayed at one activity to run it.
The activity I was at was making Kites. You need to have wood, string, tablecloth, tape and some decorations for the tail and a piece of wood or plastic to wrap the string around so it doesn't fly away.
Some of the other activities were Paper Lanterns, Can Lanterns and Putiputi to name a few. I was in room 5 and next door was Alana making paper lanterns.

Weekly Learning Reflection Week 8
This week we did a lot compared to other weeks.
We used Logo Programming to start to learn to program and I have made a cube and a cool spiral thing.

We started to write our Instructional Writing and I am doing How To Use Google Slides and a few Tips and Tricks.
We have also been doing Problem Solving Strategies and doing problem solving in our Math. I have completed two (2) pages of the book I am working on. Problem Solving Strategies.
Most of the class have got Basic Facts cards to help them learn their basic facts. If you don't have basic facts cards you have to test and help others learn their basic facts.
We also had Tech and I had a really bad day because my machine kept jamming and I burnt my fabric. I am now starting my pillow and Mrs. D and Mrs. Kay are going to complete it next week for me!!
